Spotting Hamlet

Well, we are behind in our posts.  That is for sure.  We have been so busy with many cats and kittens this summer that we have had to put blogging on the back burner.  As we know many of you know, many of you being writers and bloggers yourselves, writing takes a lot of time.  Editing takes a long time. Uploading pictures takes a long time.  And as you can see from our posts, we don't always get finished with the editing part.

Just a few of the many cats we have been busy feeding this summer - this group is at the park

But in the best interests of the cats, when our energy and time run short, we save the best of it for taking care of them.  That's the way it's got to be, don't you think?

So let's catch up. Let's start by catching up with Hamlet, who you may remember we trapped about a month ago.

Hamlet was very sick, and while we would have liked to have had him neutered while he was at our vets, he simply wasn't well enough.  So Hamlet was sent home with us, unaltered, with a course of antibiotics and he was released.

Hamlet promptly disappeared.  Apparently he wasn't too happy with us for trapping him.  You could say maybe he hated us after that.

But God is good and Hamlet finally surfaced in our front garden, and we have been administering his medicine with his favorite yogurt treat ever since.  Here are some new shots of Hamlet.

He's looking a little better, don't you think?

and here he is out front with the some of the gang:

Hamlet is front left, behind him is Jazzy, walking in the center is Slipper, and far right is Amber

We named him Hamlet because he has a great sense of the dramatic.  But we have noticed since then to our amusement he does look a little like a marbled ham.
